Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking a RF Systems Integration and Test engineer to drive bring-up, integration, and testing of next-generation satellite systems. You will define 3GPP-based tests for satellite-ground networks and work with RF, PHY, MAC, and firmware teams to achieve high-performance beamforming wireless solutions.

The role requires strong background in L1/L2, RF lab testing, and MATLAB/C/C++ with Python scripting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in L1/L2 or beamforming.
• Experience with RF lab equipment, bring-up, test and integration activities.

Responsibilities

• Be at the forefront of bring-up, integration, and debugging of advanced PHY/MAC and beamforming radio systems for state-of-the-art satellite communication system.
• Architect, document, and execute 3GPP based testing for satellite to ground networks and coordinate conformance testing with vendors.
• Collaborate across PHY, RF, digital beamforming, MAC, and firmware teams to ensure seamless integration and top-tier wireless performance.
• Understand Doppler pre/post compensation techniques with CFO/SFO in LEO comms and test them in the lab with channel emulators if available.
• Trade link budgets and verify RF line-up for payloads in RF and IF configurations during lab evaluation.
• Characterize performance, analyze data, and root-cause system-level issues to improve quality.
• Contribute development-test bring-up procedures with Linux, Python, and shell scripting.
