Job summary

XSITE LLC is seeking an RF Systems Engineer II - Test & Communications to join our San Diego team full-time, supporting TacAir RIL engineering, integration, and test activities. The role targets RF and waveform behavior and requires hands-on lab and test environment work.

Ideal candidates hold a BS in a technical field, an active TS clearance, and experience in testing radio systems across hardware and software. Travel to test events may be required; strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in electrical/computer engineering, physics, mathematics, or related field.
• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• Experience integrating and testing radio communication systems across hardware and software components.
• Experience analyzing RF test results and preparing technical reports.
• Experience using RF test equipment and associated software tools.
• Knowledge of waveform behavior, RF system performance, and DSP.
• Ability to travel to support test events.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Integrate, test, and assess radio communication systems across hardware and software components.
• Conduct RF- and waveform-focused testing in laboratory and controlled test environments.
• Analyze test results to identify system behavior, performance limits, and RF stress points.
• Evaluate communications performance under complex RF conditions.
• Use RF test and measurement equipment and supporting software tools to collect and interpret data.
• Improve test approaches, analysis methods, and technical products where beneficial to the effort.
• Prepare clear technical reports, summaries, and supporting engineering data products.
• Collaborate across engineering disciplines to support integrated system evaluations.
• Support day-to-day laboratory activities, integration efforts, and test events to keep technical work on track.
• Travel as needed to support test events and evaluation activities.
