Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is seeking an RF Test Engineer, Radar Systems to design, develop, test, and validate RF and microwave architectures and components for radar systems.

The role requires experience with RF test equipment (spectrum analyzers, VNA, oscilloscopes), MATLAB, and travel, with security clearance preferred; candidates must be able to work outdoors and deploy for extended periods.

Qualifications

• 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors degree in related field, or a high school diploma or equivalent and 6 years of relevant experience.
• Interest in Electronic Warfare Systems or Radar design and testing
• Interest in Radar signal processing techniques
• Experience with RF test equipment to include spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and vector network analyzers
• Experience with MATLAB
• Hands‑on testing, integration, and verification support across lab facilities requiring skills with algorithm development, software integration, hardware testing, and IT networking
• Basic understanding of RF Hazards to include HERP/F/O
• Ability to generate technical documentation, test procedures, and test reports; understand customer requirements
• Support technical and functional leadership through risk identification
• Willingness to travel for extended periods; deployment 1–2 weeks, sometimes 3–4 weeks
• Willingness to work outdoors and exposure to heat, cold, sun, and other hazards
• Average 25% travel mostly CONUS

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests radio frequency (RF) and/or microwave systems architecture, components, circuits, or products.
• Includes antenna design, both reflector and array systems, frequency synthesizers, transmitters and receivers.
