Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Mission Technologies Division, is seeking an RF Test Engineer for Radar Systems. You will perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and risk analysis, with emphasis on RF link budget and radar performance in an agile test environment.

The role requires hands-on testing across labs, experience with RF test gear, and willingness to travel 25% (CONUS). Security clearance with TS/SCI or secret level is needed to start.

Qualifications

• 2 years relevant experience with Bachelor's degree or 6 years with a high school diploma.
• Interest in Electronic Warfare Systems or Radar design and testing.
• Interest in Radar signal processing techniques.
• Experience with RF test equipment including spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and vector network analyzers.
• Hands-on testing, integration, and verification across lab facilities.
• Basic understanding of RF Hazards (HERP/F/O).
• Ability to generate technical documentation, test procedures, and reports.
• Travel ability for extended periods; deployment 1–2 weeks, sometimes 3–4 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and risk analysis.
• Conduct RF link budget analysis and radar system performance analysis.
• Present testing philosophies and methodologies in an agile test environment.
• Demonstrate proficiency in test documentation and etiquette.
