Job summary

Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. in San Diego seeks an RF Systems engineer to contribute to modem transceiver architectures and system-level design.

The role involves developing IC specifications and algorithms with ASIC designers and system engineers, and bringing up complex features with the ecosystem. You will collaborate with RF, RFIC, and SW teams to analyze radio system aspects, sustain chip designs using Matlab analysis, and present findings through technical reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications: bachelor's degree and 4+ years in EE, hardware, or related field; or master's degree and 3+ years; or PhD and 2+ years.
• Preferred: 5+ years in programming (C, C++, Python), computer architecture, or embedded systems.
• Experience leading teams or projects is a plus.
• Knowledge of cellular radio/3GPP standards is beneficial.
• Experience with mobile standards test equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop IC specifications and system algorithms with ASIC designers and System Engineers.
• Bring up complex system-level features with ecosystem collaboration.
• Interact with RF systems, RFIC, and SW teams to analyze radio system aspects.
• Sustain ongoing chip designs with spreadsheet/Matlab analysis.
• Support Applications Engineering in solving RF system issues on customer platforms.
• Present to technical audiences and write reports.
• Contribute to chipset integration of HW/SW/Firmware.
