Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking an experienced RF Systems Engineer in London to own the communications architecture for Thunder Mission System. You will define RF architecture, perform link budgets, and manage vendors while integrating hardware on the platform and validating it on bench and in field tests.

The role requires hands-on RF expertise, experience with avionics integration, and the ability to defend design choices during cross-disciplinary trade studies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on RF systems design and testing.
• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Deep knowledge of RF link budgets, co-site analysis, and desense.
• Experience with RF test equipment (spectrum analysers, network analysers, etc.).
• RF modelling and simulation experience.
• Avionics/payload integration with UAVs, ground vehicles, or weapons systems.
• Knowledge of aviation/tactical communications and Ethernet/IP basics.
• Python for test automation and data analysis.
• Ability to work across disciplines and defend design choices.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, integrate, test, and optimise RF communications hardware.
• Develop link budgets, co-site analysis, and desense reports for design decisions.
• Configure, simulate, evaluate RF systems and datalinks in lab and field.
• Create and maintain RF interconnect diagrams and docs.
• Select and manage RF radios, components, cables, antennas.
• Represent comms in vehicle-level trade studies.
• Support other teams by illustrating comms impacts on design decisions.
