MKS Instruments in New York area is seeking a Service Technician I to test, troubleshoot and repair RF products, ensuring they meet quality standards. You will report to the Senior Manager Service and work with a team focused on mechanical, hardware, and software aspects of RF systems.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, repairing, documenting results, and mentoring junior technicians. Travel is up to 0%. The role offers a discretionary annual bonus and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electronics or related field from a two-year college, military program, or equivalent work experience.
• 0+ years of experience in servicing and repairing RF products or related electronic equipment.
• Proficiency in using RF test equipment, and the ability to troubleshoot complex electronic systems.
• Attention to detail and high-quality workmanship.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and debug RF products.
• In-house servicing and repair addressing complex mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures.
• Analyze and implement solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
• Maintain detailed records of service activities, test results, service reports, and customer communications.
• Mentor and train junior technicians.
