Job summary

Rohde & Schwarz in Milpitas is seeking a detail‑oriented RF technician to calibrate and repair test equipment in‑lab and on customer sites, delivering quality service with clear communication.

You will track hours, write comprehensive reports, mentor colleagues, and lead repairs with adherence to our quality standards. Travel up to 80% is required, and a 75‑lb lift is sometimes necessary.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of technical experience in RF environments.
• Strong knowledge of RF concepts and devices.
• Experience with IP networking and configuring networks.
• Proficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to travel 25%-80% and respond to on-call travel for service actions.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and repair test equipment in lab and at customer sites.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Prepare daily logs and reports of work performed, including hours and inventory.
• Provide technical guidance and escalation support for complex repairs.
• Mentor and support technicians in troubleshooting and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with Rohde & Schwarz quality standards.
