Job summary

ITT Aerospace Controls LLC invites applications for the Engineering Intern (Summer 2027) position in El Cajon, CA. The program runs from June to August 2027, full-time, 40 hours per week, offering hands-on RF design, CAD modeling, and robotics exposure.

Interns will work with engineering, production, and quality teams to gain real-world experience in design, assembly, testing, and process improvement, and will document findings for handoff.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Learn RF design fundamentals, impedance matching, and industry standards.
• Use Autodesk suite to create/modify 2D drawings and 3D models for engineering/manufacturing.
• Gain hands-on experience with EPSON robotics, integration with computer vision and automated systems.
• Assist with 2D CAD drafting and 3D modeling for tooling, fixtures, and production products.
• Develop and optimize robotic routines for automated assembly, testing, and manufacturing processes.
• Analyze manufacturing workflows and recommend improvements to increase throughput and quality.
