Job summary

RTX's Effector RF Design Department in Tucson, AZ is seeking a highly motivated RF Mechanical Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to develop RF systems, subsystems, antennas, and test equipment in a multi-disciplinary team.

You will create 3D CAD models, assist with fabrication, perform integration and test support, and participate in design reviews to gain mentorship and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
• Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship / co-op session.
• Coursework, project, internship, or professional experience in manufacturing and design, thermodynamics and heat transfer, vibrations, materials, mechatronics, and/or statics.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating in a multi-discipline team setting to solve complex engineering problems.
• Creating 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for RF product designs.
• Developing prototype hardware designs and coordinating fabrication.
• Performing hands on integration and test support for prototype hardware.
• Holding design and drawing reviews with peers and subject matter experts.
