Impulse Space is offering a Spring 2027 RF Engineering Intern position in Redondo Beach, CA. The role involves designing, manufacturing and testing custom RF systems alongside a cross-disciplinary team.

The internship lasts 12 weeks (January–May 2027) with hourly compensation and on-site work requirements. The ideal candidate is pursuing EE/CE with hands-on PCB troubleshooting, RF knowledge and experience with lab equipment; Python scripting and RF tool experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master's program in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• Experience troubleshooting PCBs at board or system level.
• Solid understanding of RF/microwave concepts (transmission lines, S-parameters, amplifiers).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and select RF components for system integration.
• Run simulations and generate link budgets for designs.
• Design and execute validation plans for RF systems.
• Work on RF schematics, layout and test/flight manufacturing.
• Use CST, HFSS, ADS for RF front-end design.
