Job summary

Actalent in Syracuse, NY is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to support radar, electronic warfare, and communications systems in both lab and outdoor test environments. You will set up, test, troubleshoot, and assemble RF and electronic subsystems, and work with engineers to ensure robust lab results.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics or related field, or 5+ years electronics experience.
• Ability to read schematics, datasheets, drawings, and test procedures.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, and signal generators.
• Strong troubleshooting with RF/digital electronics.
• Soldering, circuit testing, and cable assembly proficiency.
• Ability to interpret test procedures and lab fixtures.
• Strong teamwork and communication in a collaborative engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, tear down, and move radar systems in labs and outdoor test areas.
• Perform prototyping, assembly, and cable fabrication tasks.
• Identify test equipment and conduct testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics on electronic and RF systems.
• Build and assemble mechanical and electrical subsystems in an electronics lab.
• Troubleshoot and repair EW, radar, and communication systems using RF test equipment.
• Set up standard test apparatus and fixtures and support life testing of systems.
• Follow ISO safety, quality, compliance, and security standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and maintain professionalism.
• Assist with lab maintenance and calibration.
