Job summary

Lightwave Logic, Inc. is seeking an RF Design and Test Engineer to advance RF/mmW photonic devices from concept through validation.

You will design, test, and optimize modulators and related components, using advanced HFSS/CST/ADS tools, and work closely with fabrication teams to ensure robust performance. The role involves executing VNA characterizations up to 110 GHz, conducting high-speed measurements, and developing calibration methodologies to enable accurate data across broad frequency

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or related field with emphasis on RF/mmW design, simulation, and testing.
• 3+ years hands-on RF calibration, VNA testing (100+ GHz), and high-speed BERT measurements.
• 3+ years in physical-layer RF design and simulation in FEM/FDTD methods (HFSS, ADS, CST, COMSOL, or Lumerical), preferably in silicon photonics.
• Solid understanding of electro-optic polymer physics.

Responsibilities

• Execute broadband VNA characterization of RF and photonic devices from DC to >110 GHz.
• Perform high-speed measurements using BERTs and DSPs to 130 GHz and 400 Gb/s.
• Develop and optimize calibration kits (mTRL, SOLT, LRM) and measurement setups.
• Design and simulate RF/millimeter-wave photonic modulators and create GDSII layouts when required.
• Collaborate with fabrication teams and testing to drive device performance improvements.
