Job summary

Lumilens is seeking an experienced MMIC Design Engineer to design and develop high-speed analog and MMIC circuits powering our photonic interconnects. You’ll own the design from concept through tape-out and silicon validation, covering EM modelling, parasitic extraction, and sign-off on advanced process nodes.

You’ll partner with photonics, layout, CAD, and test teams to deliver robust silicon across programs and will help automate workflows with Cadence SKILL, Perl, and Unix shell scripting.

Qualifications

  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering (or related field)
  • 5+ years analog IC design experience; 10+ years EDA for senior roles
  • Proficiency in Cadence EMX, Virtuoso Studio, Spectre, Quantus QRC, Voltus-XFi/EMIR, Calibre, and Synopsys HSPICE/PrimeSim
  • Strong understanding of DC-to-tens-of-GHz analog design, parasitics, EM effects and high-frequency analysis
  • Scripting for automation: Cadence SKILL, Perl, Unix shell

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-speed analog and MMIC circuits (amplifiers, drivers, TIAs) from architecture to tape-out
  • Lead design cycle: simulation, layout guidance, tape-out, silicon validation
  • Perform EM modelling/simulation of passives and interconnects
  • Run parasitic extraction and reliability analysis to ensure sign-off readiness
