Job summary

Farcast in San Francisco, CA seeks an Electrical Engineer to design high-density electronics for Satellite User Terminals. You will perform schematic capture, PCB layout, bring-up, and production support across mixed-signal, power, and digital circuitry, collaborating with RF, systems, and manufacturing teams.

Ideal candidates have HDI PCBAs in production, and show balance among performance, manufacturability, compliance, and cost.

Qualifications

• Experience with schematic capture and layout of high-density PCBs in Orcad or Allegro.
• Knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity.
• 5+ years of hands-on board-level design, bring-up, manufacturing, and testing.
• DFM/DFT/DFX experience.
• IPC standards for PCB manufacturing, assembly, and test.
• Proven track record releasing electronics into production with manufacturability and cost focus.
• Experience with general EE test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design schematic and layout of mixed-signal, RF, power, and digital circuitry.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions, including power networks and thermal management.
• Deliver PCB/PCBA builds using HDI technology.
• Develop and execute PCBA test plans with IEC compliance and reliability across environmental conditions for an outdoor product.
