Job summary

Planet is seeking a PCB design engineer to design and optimize high-density RF/microwave, power, and mixed-signal PCBs for satellite applications. You will work with electrical design engineers and manufacturing teams to ensure design integrity from layout through fabrication, using Altium Designer.

The role is full-time and hybrid, requiring 3 days on-site in San Francisco. Candidates should have 5+ years in PCB layout and a strong IPC standard background, with an ability to coordinate with

Qualifications

5+ years experience in PCB layout design.
Experience with Altium Designer.
Experience implementing and enforcing IPC standards for PCB design, fabrication, and assembly.

Responsibilities

Design layout of RF/Microwave, power, microprocessor, high-speed interface, and mixed-signal PCBs for satellite applications.
Collaborate with electrical design engineers and supply chain to manage PCB design in Altium environment and integration with control and manufacturing systems.
Coordinate with vendors to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality PCB assemblies.
