Job summary

Farcast is seeking an Electrical Engineer to craft high‑density electronics for Satellite User Terminal applications. The role blends schematic capture, PCB layout, bring‑up, and production support with close coordination across RF, systems, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.

The ideal candidate has HDI PCBAs delivered to production, and demonstrates balance of performance, manufacturability, compliance, and cost. In‑person collaboration is required at the SF office.

Qualifications

• Experience in schematic capture and layout of high-density PCBs.
• Strong knowledge of signal and power integrity principles.
• 5+ years hands‑on board design, bring‑up, manufacturing and testing.
• Experience with DFM/DFT/DFX and IPC standards.
• Proven track record releasing electronics into production.

Responsibilities

• Design schematic and layout of mixed-signal, RF, power, and digital circuitry.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions for power networks and thermal management.
• Deliver PCB/PCBA using HDI technology and ensure manufacturability.
• Develop PCBA test plans with IEC compliance across environmental conditions.
