Job summary

Farcast is hiring Antenna Engineers in the San Francisco area to design and bring to production phased-array antennas for satellite user terminals. You will own from element design to array-level validation, collaborating with RF, electronics, mechanical, software and systems teams to scale manufacturing.

Qualifications

3 years of hands-on experience in antenna design and testing.
Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on antennas.
Hands-on PCB layout and design review for RF/antenna structures.
Proficient in Altium Designer for schematics and PCB layouts.

Responsibilities

Design antenna elements (patch, slot, dipole) for arrays.
Optimize performance: bandwidth, gain, directivity, return loss, axial ratio.
Develop scripts to compute array radiation pattern metrics.
Run full-wave simulations of elements and large arrays using HFSS.
Create test plans and perform antenna testing with lab gear.
