Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop RF payload hardware for the TeraWave satellite network. The role integrates high-speed digital logic with phased array systems, and you will lead the bring-up, debugging, and lab testing of system-level boards.

The candidate will design multi-layer HDI PCBs, power systems, and perform EMI analyses to ensure robust performance in aerospace environments. Mastery of Altium/Cadence and RF test equipment is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in complex hardware product development (telecom hardware, 5G base stations, or aerospace electronics).
• Proficiency with EDA tools (Altium, Cadence Allegro) for high-speed, multi-layer boards.
• Hands-on experience with high-speed test equipment for hardware debugging.
• Experience supporting hardware through full lifecycle: concept to field operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop multi-layer, HDI PCB designs with strict isolation of high-speed digital and microwave routing.
• Design power systems (PoE, DC-DC, PMICs) for high dynamic current during beamforming.
• Perform simulations to minimize noise, crosstalk, and EMI across the system.
• Lead hardware bring-up, debugging, and lab testing of system-level boards.
