Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. in San Jose is seeking a RF Module Design Summer/Fall Co-Op (June–December 2027). You will collaborate with experienced engineers to design and develop RF/microwave multi-chip modules and learn state-of-the-art techniques in a fast-paced tech environment.

The role offers hands-on lab work with RF instruments, simulations using HFSS and ADS, and exposure to PCB design. Qualifications include enrollment in an Electrical Engineering MS/PhD program and willingness to work

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering (or related) MS or PhD program
• Commitment to work onsite for 6 month co-op
• Strong desire to learn, grow and make an impact
• Strong career interest in RF/microwave circuits and engineering
• Willing to share knowledge and collaborate with others
• Must have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Experience with Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS is highly preferred
• Hands-on experience in a lab using a network analyzer and other RF instruments is highly preferred
• Knowledge of transmission-line theory and circuit design is a plus
• Experience with PCB design and layout tools is a plus

Responsibilities

• Working with experienced engineers to design/develop RF/Microwave multi-chip modules
• Evaluating and optimizing prototypes of RF/Microwave multi-chip modules
• Running simulations using design tools such as Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, etc.
• Participating and presenting in design reviews
• Performing lab testing using standard RF test equipment
• Troubleshooting and resolving design or technical issues
• Collaborating with other engineers and technicians
