Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. in Cedar Rapids (IA) invites motivated EE students to join as a RF/MW intern for the Summer 2027 term.

You will work closely with mentors, measuring and simulating RF circuits while contributing to real product development in a fast-paced RF design center. You must be enrolled in an Electrical Engineering BS/MS program and plan to return to school after the internship, with availability May through August 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an Electrical Engineering BS or MS program and returning to school after internship.
• Must be able to commit to a 3 month internship term (Summer 2027: May/June - August).
• Strong background in RF and Microwave design with knowledge of RF parameters (insertion loss, return loss, harmonics, IMD, IIP2/3, VSWR, NF).
• RFIC design and simulation experience is a plus.
• Experience using RF test equipment and debugging is required.

Responsibilities

• Support design and test evaluations, including data validation of multi-chip-modules with integrated RF components.
• Perform RF tests, summarize data, and present findings to design engineers.
• Assist design using RF modeling tools and aid production with test data summary.
