Job summary

Mini-Circuits in Carlsbad, CA is seeking an Engineering Technician to support MMIC design transition to production. You will build, repair, and test boards using bare die and SMT components with meticulous hand-eye coordination and precision assembly per work instructions.

You will set up and operate assembly tooling, perform wire bonding, die attach, epoxy dispense, and RF/DC test tasks, and contribute to quality and process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technician Certification plus 5 years of RF Product Test or related field.
• 5+ years of RF Product Test or related field experience.
• Understanding ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610J or related standards.
• Experience with RF test equipment and debugging.
• Willingness to work with precision assembly under a microscope.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Wire bonding process development and production.
• Die attach process development and production.
• Epoxies dispense and package molding.
• Failure analysis using die shear, bond pull, Keyence, etc.
• PCB/component level assembly, troubleshooting and rework.
• Set up assembly equipment and kitting per diagrams and instructions.
• Perform electrical testing of RF components.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized lab/workspace.
