Job summary

GlobalFoundries inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to work on RF/mm‑Wave reference design problems. You will design and tape-out mm‑Wave circuits, run schematic/layout/EM simulations, and optimize performance under supervision.

The role requires a strong transistor‑level understanding, RF/MM‑Wave design knowledge, Cadence tool proficiency, and the ability to work 40 hours per week. English fluency is essential for collaboration and reporting.

Qualifications

• Education: MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with RF/mm-Wave circuit design.
• Proficient with Cadence-based EDA tools.
• Strong written and verbal English skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and tape-out mm-Wave reference circuits on internal test chips and MPWs.
• Use industry-standard tools for schematic design, layout, parasitic extraction, and simulations (pre- and post-layout; EM).
• Perform circuit optimizations to meet performance targets.
• Collaborate with design leads on multiple concurrent projects.
• Maintain safe, compliant work practices per EH&S requirements.
