Job summary

GlobalFoundries invites an internship candidate to join our Technology Development team to develop and qualify differentiated semiconductor technologies for our 200mm fabrication line. The role targets process and/or test development engineering intern with exposure to CMOS, SiGe and GaN RF applications.

You will work with multiple engineering groups, gain hands-on experience, and be mentored by senior engineers while contributing to real projects with measurable impact on yield and performance.

Qualifications

• Education: Senior/Junior undergrad in Electrical Engineering, Solid State Physics, Microelectronics or related field.
• Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and device characterization.
• Knowledge of semiconductor processing.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technology development integration and process teams to drive integration of advanced process modules achieving performance, reliability, yield, and cost objectives.
• Develop differentiated offerings in 130nm, 90nm, and sub‑90nm nodes in CMOS, SiGe, GaN for RF apps.
• Lead interactions with engineering teams outside the immediate area to facilitate program success.
• Support technology development qualification milestones from conception through manufacturing installation; design experiments and analyze results.
