Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking an RF Front-End EM Design Co-Op in Irvine, CA for Summer/Fall 2027. You will work with RF, EM, RFIC, and module design engineers on next-generation wireless solutions for 5G/6G and emerging connectivity technologies.

The role suits graduate students in RF design, electromagnetics, and packaging technologies. You will gain hands-on experience across the full product development cycle, from modeling to hardware characterization, under a dedicated mentor.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong background in RF/microwave engineering and electromagnetics.
• Experience with RF front-end architectures and impedance matching.

Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate advanced RF front-end architectures, including filter and RFIC co-design approaches.
• Build and analyze 2.5D/3D electromagnetic models of RF passive structures.
• Perform electromagnetic simulations using HFSS/EMX and correlate with measured data.
• Optimize module design for insertion loss, isolation, and size.
