Job summary

First Point Group is seeking a Senior RF Planning & Optimization Engineer to lead LTE and 5G network planning, optimization, and performance initiatives. You will guide multi-vendor teams, analyze KPI trends, and drive improvements across coverage, capacity, and mobility.

This role demands strong leadership, deep RF know-how, and collaboration with operators and field engineers. You will oversee end-to-end optimization efforts, mentor teammates, and contribute to major modernization programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in RF Engineering, RAN Planning, or Network Optimization.
• Strong expertise in LTE and 5G NR technologies.
• Extensive experience in RF planning, network design, optimization, and performance analysis.
• Proven technical leadership on large-scale telecommunications projects.
• Deep understanding of RF coverage planning, capacity management, and mobility optimization.
• Strong knowledge of radio network KPIs and performance management methodologies.
• Experience conducting drive-test analysis and field performance investigations.
• Hands-on expertise with Atoll planning tools.
• Experience with Planet RF planning solutions.
• Knowledge of TEMS drive-test and performance analysis tools.
• Experience using Actix optimization and post-processing platforms.
• Familiarity with Ericsson network management and optimization solutions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead RF planning and optimization activities for LTE and 5G networks.
• Develop network design strategies to improve coverage, capacity, and quality of service.
• Analyze radio network KPIs and performance indicators to identify optimization opportunities.
• Conduct capacity planning and forecasting for existing and future network demands.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for RF performance issues.
• Optimize mobility management, handovers, throughput, accessibility, and retainability metrics.
• Support network rollout, modernization, and technology evolution projects.
• Analyze drive-test data and field performance measurements.
• Utilize planning and optimization tools to improve network performance.
• Collaborate with vendor, operations, and engineering teams to implement optimization recommendations.
• Produce technical reports, performance assessments, and improvement plans.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams on complex RF challenges.
