Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking Summer 2027 interns to design and build RF electronics hardware and antennas for satellite communication systems. Interns will work closely with CesiumAstro engineers on product development, schematic design, test, and manufacturing of space electronics.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, and assignments will align with project availability and candidate interests.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in BS, MS, or PhD program in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Job description

• The CesiumAstro hardware team is looking for Summer 2027 interns to design and build RF electronics hardware and antennas for satellite communication systems
• RF hardware development interns will work closely with CesiumAstro engineers on product development, schematic design, test, and manufacturing of space electronics. Areas of focus will include either board-level RF electronics design (e.g. front-ends with amplifiers, switches, filters, etc.) system design, or antenna design. Assignments will be determined by a mix of project availability and the interests of the successful candidates
• CesiumAstro interns regularly present their work to peers, mentors, and CesiumAstro executive leadership throughout the course of the summer. As such, excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
