Job summary

Teledyne Storm Microwave in Woodridge, IL is seeking a Drafter to join our team. You will create 2D/3D models, develop design packages, and generate assembly instructions that support manufacturing and quality standards.

Candidates should have a vocational/technical certificate with 5–10 years of related experience, strong CAD skills in AutoCAD and Inventor, and proficiency with Excel/Word and an MRP system. U.S. persons only, with excellent communication abilities, are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Requires vocational or technical certificate with 5–10 years of related experience or equivalent
• Experience creating 2D/3D models of components and assemblies in AutoCAD and Inventor (required)
• Must be a U.S. Person (citizens, permanent residents, refugees, asylees) (required)
• Demonstrates attention to detail, organizational, prioritization and follow-up skills (required)
• Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word), MRP system experience (required)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (required)

Responsibilities

• Contributing to team effort by assisting as needed
• Entering BOMs and creating production routings in our MRP system
• Supports production and provides technical knowledge for successful completion of products per engineering drawings and quality standards
• Writing connector assembly instructions from vendor information and floor input
• Produce complete design packages including 3D files or 2D drawings and revise technical documents for manufacturing
• Troubleshoot and gather data; collaborate with engineers to solve production floor issues
• Enter markers into Labelmark software and operate marker printers
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing and reduce part costs
• Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods
