Job summary

Teledyne Storm Microwave in Woodridge, IL is seeking a skilled Drafter to join our engineering team. You will create 2D/3D models, assemble production routings, and develop manufacturing documents for RF/microwave components.

Ideal candidates have aTechnical certificate and 5–10 years related experience, proficiency in AutoCAD and Inventor, and strong communication skills. U.S. person status is required; experience with MRP systems is a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication is essential.
• Technical certificate in a related field is required or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to team efforts and assist as needed.
• Enter BOMs and create production routings in the MRP system.
• Support production and provide technical knowledge for compliant manufacturing.
• Write connector assembly instructions from vendor input and floor input.
• Prepare complete design packages including 2D/3D drawings and documents for manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot issues on the production floor and gather data with engineers.
• Enter markers into Labelmark software and operate marker printers.
• Recommend process improvements to reduce cost and enhance quality.
• Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods.
