Teledyne Storm Microwave in Illinois seeks an entry-level to mid-career assembler to build high-performance RF/microwave interconnects. You will perform electronic and electro-mechanical assembly, solder circuits, read drawings, and ensure parts meet specifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Soldering experience or MIL Standard Soldering Certification preferred.
• Basic math skills and 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).

Responsibilities

• Perform electronic and electro-mechanical assembly operations under close supervision.
• Assemble units such as power supplies, modules, chassis drawers, cable harnesses, and PC boards.
• Solder and de-solder through-hole and SMT components using soldering iron and hot air techniques.
• Install and remove discrete components on printed circuit assemblies.
• Assemble connectors, perform interface gage measurements, and shrink marker sleeves and strain reliefs.
• Check mechanical length of cables and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Read and interpret documents and drawings accurately.
• Lift and move parts, bins, and boxes as needed.
