Job Description:
Airbus US Manufacturing Facility is looking for a X-Plant Electrical Assembler to join our X-Plant department based in Mobile, AL.
Mobile FAL includes but is not limited to Outstanding Work from Europe Plant Partners, Non-Conformities and snag sheets raised during standard FAL activities, Customer findings recorded in Quality Log Book, and Technical Log Book write ups during Flight Line and Delivery Phases. A high level of skill and flexibility is required to ensure FAL and Flight Line milestones are achieved while operating with the highest degree of safety, quality, cost, and adherence to schedule. You are expected to work across multiple competencies to provide superior support to Mobile FAL and Flight Line Operations.
Your challenges:
Knowledge of hand, power tools, and cutting tools related to Airbus manufacturing.
Willingness to learn and cross-skill within multiple functions and competencies.
Ability to work across different teams to coordinate and complete activities.
Demonstrated ability to problem solve.
Knowledge of station safety, quality, FOD, and OSHA regulations.
Able to enter, generate, and retrieve information using a computer or tablet (SAP and Excel knowledge preferred).
Your boarding pass:
Required: High school Diploma or GED.
Training from a vocational school or previous employer in the use of application tools and in application techniques.
2+ years hands-on experience in aviation with repair work.
Outputs: Assembly ready for integration or assembly integrated with associated production documentation in the product.
Perform basic electrical tests (continuity, bonding, insulation, DC high voltage).
Physical Requirements:
Vision: Adequate to enter and read material on computer screens and identify markings and digital outputs on calibrated tools.
Hearing: Sufficient to engage in conversation in shop and production settings and hear safety alerts.
Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means.
Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of tools and equipment including hydraulic lifts.
Carrying: Occasionally carry up to 30lbs/12kg while engaging in aircraft activities.
Lifting: Occasionally lift up to 60lbs/27kg.
Pushing/Pulling: Able to push/pull items in aircraft and on the shop floor.
Travel/Mobility: Able to work outside hangers in changing locations and on movable lifts at aircraft heights.
Walking: Able to walk through office and production areas and sometimes on uneven surfaces.
