Job summary

Kelly Services seeks a Rework Associate for evening shifts in a manufacturing environment. The role requires operating a PIT, inspecting bags, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will work in a controlled environment, use PPE, and follow SOPs to ensure accurate rework and packaging. Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED and be able to obtain necessary PIT/Inspector certifications.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Able to read and follow written safety instructions.
  • Basic math skills required.
  • Ability to obtain PIT Operator Certification and Inspector Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Transport sterilized bags using a powered industrial truck (PIT) from the cooling area to the packing line.
  • Maintain and inspect PIT batteries as required.
  • Keep truck unloader supplied with trucks to be unloaded.
  • Operate and maintain automated packaging equipment, including carton erector.
  • Visually inspect each bag for defects and categorize/log identified defects.
  • Manually unload and package bags as needed.
  • Unpackage and reinspect products, assist with line clearance.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace following 6S principles.
  • Follow all safety, quality, and compliance standards (SOPs, cGMP).

Job description

Job Title: Rework Associate

Pay Rate: $19.00/hr

Shift: 2:30pm-10:30pm , 2:45pm-10:45pm , 3:00pm-11:00pm

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport sterilized bags using a powered industrial truck (PIT) from the cooling area to the packing line
  • Maintain and inspect PIT batteries as required
  • Keep truck unloader supplied with trucks to be unloaded
  • Operate and maintain automated packaging equipment, including carton erector
  • Visually inspect each bag for defects and categorize/log identified defects
  • Manually unload and package bags as needed
  • Unpackage and reinspect products, assist with line clearance
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace following 6S principles
  • Follow all safety, quality, and compliance standards (SOPs, cGMP)
Work Environment:
  • Class IV Controlled Environment (PPE: safety glasses, shoes, gloves, ear plugs)
  • Exposure to constant/intermittent noise, vibration, and moving machinery
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Basic English written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow verbal/written safety instructions and read work instructions
  • Basic math skills required
  • Ability to obtain PIT Operator and Inspector Certification
Preferred:
  • One (1) year of manufacturing experience
  • CRC Career Readiness Certification (Silver Level)
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent grasping, pushing/pulling, reaching
  • Lift/carry up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Normal visual acuity and color distinction
  • Ability to squat, climb, kneel, twist, and bend
