Job summary

Sofidel America is seeking Machine Operators for our converting team in Illinois. Local candidates for a long-term role will operate machinery, monitor quality, and prepare products for shipping. The role involves 12-hour rotating shifts and adherence to GMP/HACCP policies.

Responsibilities include operating equipment via computer panels, performing quality checks, and coordinating with QA, maintenance, and supervision to meet production quotas. Experience with SAP is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED or 6–12 months of manufacturing experience.
• SAP experience is required.
• Able to work cross-functionally in a team environment.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and computer systems to produce finished products and perform quality checks.
• Load parent rolls of paper and operate hoist/pallet jack.
• Program and monitor computerized operating panels and adjust core size and roll dimensions.
• Perform weekly quality reports and ensure products meet customer specifications.
• Manage set-up and changeovers to meet production quotas and packaging requirements.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow safety and lean initiatives.
