Job summary

Cursive Solutions Inc is seeking a full-time Rewinder Operator – Printing & Packaging to join our production team in Ohio. You will operate rewinding equipment to slit and rewind printed materials to meet customer specs, set up jobs, and ensure quality during finishing.

You’ll work in a modern facility with advanced converting gear, maintain safety and cleanliness, and contribute to on-time delivery while recording production data and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery.
• Attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency.
• Ability to identify defects in printed materials and take corrective action.
• Able to stay organized in a fast-paced production environment.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Operate rewinding equipment to slit and rewind printed materials to customer specifications
• Set up jobs including core loading, blade positioning, tension settings, and web alignment
• Inspect printed material during rewinding to identify defects or quality issues
• Ensure finished rolls meet specifications for width, diameter, and winding quality
• Manage roll changes, splicing, and material handling during production runs
• Package finished rolls and prepare them for next stage or shipment
• Record production data, including quantities, waste, and job performance
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of rewinding equipment
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical or process issues and escalate when needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Communicate effectively with press operators and supervisors
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality and efficiency
