Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Machine / Rewind Operator for a light manufacturing, print-focused facility in New Albany, IN. You will operate rewinding/slitting equipment, prepare finished rolls for shipping, and maintain a clean, safe work area while meeting quality standards.

The role requires 0–3 years of manufacturing experience, ability to lift 50 pounds, and the willingness to train for ~4 weeks on a Mon–Thu day shift. Shifts run Fri–Sun 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Contract to hire with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–3 years of manufacturing/production experience.
• Experience operating printing/label production machinery.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions and work orders.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to work Friday–Sunday 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. and train for ~4 weeks on a Mon–Thu day shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate rewinding and related equipment to produce specified label quantities.
• Slit labels to required sizes according to order specs.
• Inspect labels and finished rolls for defects before shipping.
• Complete score sheets and production documentation.
• Move and stage rolls for shipping, up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow safety guidelines and SOPs while operating machinery.
• Communicate with team and supervisors to coordinate workflow.
• Perform other duties to support production and shipping.
