Job summary

Cursive, LLC in Mason, Ohio is seeking a full-time Rewinder Operator – Printing & Packaging to join our production team. You’ll operate rewinding equipment to finish labels and shrink-sleeve packaging for premium brands, ensuring rolls meet width, diameter, and quality specifications.

This hands-on role rewards accuracy, reliability, and teamwork. You’ll record production data, perform light maintenance, and support continuous improvement while growing into advanced converting and finishing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating manufacturing equipment or working in a production environment preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with machinery.
• Attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and consistency.
• Ability to identify defects in printed materials and take corrective action.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to learn and grow within a production environment.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Operate rewinding equipment to slit and rewind printed materials to customer specifications.
• Set up jobs including core loading, blade positioning, tension settings, and web alignment.
• Inspect printed material during rewinding to identify defects, inconsistencies, or quality issues.
• Ensure finished rolls meet specifications for width, diameter, and winding quality.
• Manage roll changes, splicing, and material handling throughout production runs.
• Package finished rolls and prepare them for the next stage or shipment.
• Accurately record production data, including quantities, waste, and job performance.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of rewinding equipment.
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical or process issues and elevate when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with press operators, finishing teams, and supervisors.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality and efficiency.
