Printpack Inc is seeking a Rewind Operator in Prescott Valley, AZ to operate and monitor rewinding equipment according to customer specifications. You will ensure quality during rewinding and record production data in the manufacturing ERP system.

This on-site role includes a $2.50/hr night-shift premium for qualifying hours and requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus manufacturing experience preferred.

Job description

The Rewind Operator in Prescott Valley, AZ is responsible for operating and monitoring rewinding equipment to process finished materials according to customer specifications. The Rewind Operator ensures quality control during the rewinding process and maintains accurate documentation of production activities using a manufacturing ERP systems. An additional $2.50/hr premium for hours worked on NIGHT Shift only (qualifying hours vary by location).

Key Responsibilities

• Operate rewinding machinery safely and efficiently
• Review and verify job jacket information for accuracy before starting production
• Enter production data and maintain records in a manufacturing ERP system
• Inspect materials for quality defects during rewinding process
• Monitor tension control and material alignment
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures
• Communicate with team members regarding job status and quality issues
• Package and label finished products according to specifications

Qualifications

• Education & Experience: High School diploma or equivalent experienced

Physical Demands

The associate will be exposed to the manufacturing environment where hazards and requirements may include but are not limited to: Must be able to lift and handle objects weighing up to 50 pounds; Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods; Ability to climb, kneel, bend, reach and squat; Proficiency in grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor skills; Visual Acuity for product inspection; Ability to wear required PPE (hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses); Use of ladders and other equipment; Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift and pallet jacks.

Work Conditions

The majority of tasks will be performed in a manufacturing setting with exposure to: Noise levels above 85 dB; Operation of complex machinery; Solvents, fumes and inks; Variable Temperatures.
