Job summary

AWT is hiring a rewind operator at our Minneapolis, MN location (600 Hoover Street, Minneapolis 55413). The schedule is Sunday, Monday and Tuesday 4:20am - 4:40pm, with additional days possible to meet customer needs.

Safe and efficient operation of rewind equipment is required. You will ensure parts meet specs, keep accurate paperwork, and collaborate to meet ship dates and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must read, understand, write and speak English.
• Ability to work with machinery safely and efficiently.
• Safety conscious and a team player.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Physical ability to lift 30 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate rewind equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure parts meet specifications and orders.
• Ensure paperwork is legible and accurate.
• Gather materials to meet ship dates.
• Set correct tensions, use appropriate accessories.
• Inspect finished product for spec compliance.
• Maintain rewind checklist and core labels.
• Stack finished product neatly for next operation.
• Follow SOPs and participate in process improvements.
• Adapt to changing department priorities.
