Job summary

FINFROCK in Orlando is seeking a Structural Designer / Drafter to develop Revit models and construction documents for precast concrete systems on multifamily, parking, and mixed-use projects, coordinating with engineers and architects to produce permit-ready drawings.

The role requires an associate degree in drafting or equivalent, at least two years of drafting experience, and proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; candidates with precast or BIM coordination experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Drafting, Design Technology, Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of drafting or design experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or comparable CAD software.
• Basic understanding of structural building systems and construction methods.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D structural models using Autodesk Revit.
• Prepare permit drawings, construction documents, and related project deliverables.
• Modify and update drawings based on engineering direction and project revisions.
• Coordinate structural models with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing disciplines.
• Participate in project coordination meetings as required.
• Review drawings and models for completeness, constructability, and adherence to company standards.
• Perform quality control reviews on personal work and assist in peer reviews as assigned.
• Maintain project documentation and revision records.
• Communicate project progress and design issues to project engineers and supervisors.
• Follow established drafting standards, procedures, and document control practices.
