Job summary

FINFROCK is seeking a Prec ast Drafter in Orlando to create precise 3D models of precast components and develop fabrication documentation. You will coordinate with architects, engineers, and production teams to ensure constructible designs throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has a 2-year drafting degree or related experience, proficiency in SolidWorks, and strong communication skills to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in Design/Drafting or two years of related drafting experience.
• Experience using SolidWorks.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• General knowledge of building construction.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willing to relocate to Central Florida (or already reside).

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models of precast concrete components in SolidWorks.
• Develop construction drawings, piece tickets, and fabrication documentation.
• Coordinate with architects and engineers to ensure constructible designs.
• Collaborate with drafting, engineering, and production teams through the project lifecycle.
• Review drawings/models for accuracy and compliance.
• Perform quality checks and assist with peer reviews.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Communicate project updates and design changes to stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models of precast concrete components using SolidWorks.
• Develop construction drawings, piece tickets, and fabrication documentation for manufacturing.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other design professionals to ensure accurate and constructible designs.
• Collaborate with internal drafting, engineering, and production teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review drawings and models for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
• Perform quality control checks on your own work and assist with peer reviews to maintain drafting standards.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Communicate project updates, design changes, and technical information clearly with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• You have earned a two-year degree in Design/Drafting or possess two years of Design/Drafting experience.
• You have experience with SolidWorks.
• You are a multi-tasker who can work multiple projects concurrently.
• You have a general knowledge of building construction.
• You have great communication skills.
• You want to be in Central Florida and are willing to relocate on your own if you don’t live here already.
