Job summary

DigiFlight, Inc. is seeking a senior cybersecurity analyst to perform technical analysis of malicious binaries, using controlled execution or static analysis to understand functionality and indicators of compromise.

The role supports attribution efforts and mitigation initiatives. Required qualifications include a CS/CE/IS degree with extensive malware reverse engineering experience, certifications (CISSP/GREM/CREA), and potential Information Assurance certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE/IS or related field, with extensive malware reverse‑engineering experience.
• 11 years (or 9/7 with advanced degrees) of relevant experience per applicant's degree.
• Certifications: CISSP, GIAC GREM, or CREA; Information Assurance certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical analysis of malicious binaries via controlled execution and static analysis.
• Identify indicators of compromise and assist attribution to adversary infrastructure.
• Create documentation to enable malware detection, signature creation, and mitigation.

Description: Perform a technical analysis of malicious binaries through controlled execution and/or static analysis of assembly code, overcoming techniques designed to defeat analysis, to ascertain functionality, capability, and call-backs, assist with attribution to adversary infrastructure, and identification of indicators of compromise. Provide information and documentation that enables malware detection, signature creation, and mitigation.

Experience: A Bachelor's degree plus 11 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus 9 years of relevant experience or a Doctoral degree plus 7 years of relevant experience. An Associate's degree plus 13 years of relevant experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.

Education: The degree must be in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.

Relevant Experience: Must be in malware reverse engineering. CISSP, GIAC GREM, or CREA Certification is required. Information Assurance Certification may be required.
