Job summary

Metropolitan Council's Metro Transit Division seeks a seasoned Manager of Revenue Operations - Equipment Repair to lead two repair work groups, ensuring reliable fare collection equipment across buses and rail. You will oversee the SETS program and drive staff development, budgeting, and process improvement.

This role requires strong leadership, GAAP knowledge, and experience with financial systems like PeopleSoft, plus the ability to collaborate with regional partners and contractors to keep

Qualifications

• Combination of progressive experience in business, accounting, financial analysis, operations management and/or electronics/mechanical repair with related education.
• 3+ years of supervision/management or project management experience including budgeting and leadership.
• Experience with PeopleSoft or similar financial system and/or electronic/mechanical repair.

Responsibilities

• Manages two revenue equipment work units maintaining and repairing fare collection equipment and systems.
• Oversees the Stadium Events Staff (SETS) program for staffing and customer support at major events.
• Coaches staff for excellence to meet objectives and develop skills and personal development.
• Establishes unit/department strategic direction and annual goals with measurable outcomes.
• Develops and monitors internal controls and reporting of department activities and transactions.
• Troubleshoots issues and leads problem-solving efforts.
• Monitors fare collection systems to ensure security and accuracy.
• Maintains relationships with internal/external customers and regional transit providers.
• Manages procurement and capital projects to ensure proper controls and compliance.
• Develops, monitors and manages budgets for two cost centers.
• Oversees inventory levels to support repair activities.
