Job summary

Zum in Redwood City, CA seeks a Senior Business Operations Analyst to own and optimize spreadsheet-based models for accounts receivable, invoicing accuracy, and collections tracking. You will work hands-on with data, crafting complex formulas and automation to uncover discrepancies and drive timely collections.

The role involves collaboration with Location Managers and leadership, some customer-facing interactions, and ongoing model maintenance as business needs evolve.

Qualifications

• Requires advanced spreadsheet skills with complex formulas, pivot tables, and automation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• High attention to detail and analytical rigor in data handling.
• Experience in financial/business operations analysis or revenue/billing operations preferred.
• Familiarity with Google Apps Script automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain spreadsheet-based models powering AR aging, invoicing accuracy, and collections tracking.
• Use complex formulas, pivot tables, and automation to identify invoice discrepancies and reconcile billing errors.
• Interact with Location Managers and stakeholders to resolve billing issues.
• Collaborate with Revenue Operations to test and refine models for AR and collections.
• Maintain and update models as business needs evolve.
• Investigate discrepancies between invoiced amounts and contract/pricing data.
• Provide regular AR aging and reconciliation reports to leadership.
• Identify recurring sources of invoice error and recommend process improvements.
• Explore AI tools to improve speed and accuracy of reconciliation and modeling.
