Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a full-time Revenue Cycle/Charge Capture Analyst to support optimization, compliance, and accurate reimbursement across the enterprise. You will collaborate with clinical departments, HIM, IT, and Revenue Cycle teams to identify trends and resolve complex issues.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field and at least 3 years in billing or charge capture, with preferred coding credentials and CRCS certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, management, or hospital-related fields.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in billing, charge documentation, charge audit, or revenue cycle activities.
• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC/COC/CIC, AAPC or other coding credentials required.
• HFMA CRCS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support revenue optimization, regulatory compliance, and charge capture integrity across the enterprise through cross-functional collaboration.
• Perform advanced edits, validations, and analytical reviews to identify trends and resolve complex issues for accurate reimbursement.
