Job summary

Cottage Health seeks a Senior Revenue Integrity Analyst for the Revenue Integrity department. The role focuses on maintaining, analyzing, standardizing, and modeling revenue charges while educating staff on charge compliance and supporting financial planning and analysis.

Responsibilities include clearing EPIC queues, identifying trends from edits, and applying knowledge of hospital coding and cost accounting to optimize revenue capture. Collaboration with clinical and IT teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum: 5 years Hospital/Health Care Coding experience.
• Minimum: MS Excel and billing knowledge; familiarity with cost accounting concepts.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.

Education:

• Minimum:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience or two years of work experience per one year of required education.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

• Minimum:Coding certification (CCS, CCS-P, CPC, COC)
• Preferred: Registered Nurse. RHIA, Epic Certification in Resolute Charge Capture and/or Clarity Report Data. American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM) - Certified Revenue Integrity Professional (CRIP).

Technical Requirements:

• Minimum: Knowledge of MS Excel. Knowledge of billing requirements related to charges and associated claim forms. Knowledge of cost accounting concepts, principles, and computer applications.
• Preferred: Experience with electronic medical records and clinical application software.

Years of Related Work Experience:

• Minimum: 5 years Hospital/Health Care Coding experience.
• Preferred: 3 additional years Hospital/Health Care Billing or Clinical experience.
