Job summary

Genesys seeks a finance-minded leader to head the Americas order management and billing operation. You’ll apply deep ASC 606 knowledge to guide revenue recognition timing for complex contracts and lead a team through operational execution.

You will own SLAs, KPIs, and enable SOX-compliant month- and year-end closes while collaborating with Revenue Accounting, Deal Desk, Sales and Legal.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience spanning finance, revenue accounting, and/or order-to-cash operations.
• Genuine, hands-on knowledge of ASC 606 / revenue recognition.
• Experience navigating SOX / internal controls, including audit support.
• People management experience across a team.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and make judgment calls.
• Strong reconciliation and data integrity mindset across contracts and billing.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the go-to resource for how contract terms affect revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Evaluate complex or non-standard customer contracts and determine revenue treatment.
• Partner with Revenue Accounting, Deal Desk, Sales and Legal to resolve high‑risk revenue scenarios.
• Own and strengthen SOX/internal controls across the order‑to‑billing process.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team responsible for Americas order management and billing execution.
• Drive timely, SOX‑compliant execution through month-/quarter-/year-end close.
• Identify and lead process improvement, automation, and AI-enabled efficiency initiatives.
