Job summary

Anthropic is hiring a Data Engineer to build the data foundation for the quote-to-cash lifecycle. You will design canonical data models so Sales, Deal Desk, Order Management, Revenue Operations and Finance operate from one governed definition of what was sold and on what terms.

You will partner with DS&A, GTM and Finance systems teams managing Salesforce, CPQ and billing to ensure data is reliable, well-modeled and self-serve as Anthropic scales.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer, preferably with GTM, Revenue Operations or Finance.
• Hands-on data modeling of Salesforce data and quote-to-cash systems (CPQ, billing, ERP).
• Expertise in multi-step ETL and robust data models using dbt; familiarity with Airflow and GitHub.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python to transform data into clean models.
• Experience building analytics dashboards for cross-functional teams.
• Startup experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand the data needs of Deal Desk, Order Management, Revenue Operations, Finance and Sales systems teams and translate into technical requirements.
• Design, build and own data models transforming Salesforce, CPQ, and billing data into canonical datasets.
• Establish data integrity standards and SLAs for timely, accurate delivery.
• Collaborate with Salesforce, CPQ and billing engineers on upstream schema changes to mirror systems of record.
• Build foundational data products, dashboards and self-serve analytics for GTM teams.
• Influence roadmaps from a data perspective and be the expert on GTM data models.
