Job summary

Chartis is seeking an Engagement Manager to join our Revenue Cycle Transformation team. In this role, you will lead consulting engagements that help healthcare organizations optimize revenue cycle operations, improve financial performance, and implement sustainable operational improvements.

Our team partners with hospitals, health systems, and other providers to address complex revenue cycle challenges across patient access, revenue integrity, billing, denials management, and related areas.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations, performance improvement, or transformation.
• Experience in healthcare consulting leading complex revenue cycle initiatives within hospitals, health systems, or healthcare services organizations.
• Ability to manage complex projects, coordinate multiple workstreams, and deliver results in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including interpreting operational and financial data to identify improvements.
• Experience leading, coaching, or managing teams and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to senior audiences.
• Experience across multiple revenue cycle functions such as patient access, charge capture, revenue integrity, billing, denials management, collections, or accounts receivable.
• Experience leading large-scale revenue cycle transformation or performance optimization initiatives.
• Familiarity with revenue cycle performance metrics and financial improvement methodologies.
• Experience supporting organizational change and implementation of operational improvements.
• Advanced degree such as an MBA, MHA, or MPH.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements: manage day-to-day execution of revenue cycle consulting projects, including planning, workstream coordination, deliverable development, timelines, and overall performance.
• Drive revenue cycle improvement: assess current-state operations, identify gaps, and develop actionable recommendations to improve efficiency and financial outcomes.
• Apply analytical problem-solving: leverage data to identify root causes and evaluate improvement opportunities.
• Advise and collaborate with clients: build relationships with revenue cycle leaders to understand challenges and drive alignment around solutions.
• Support implementation and transformation: translate recommendations into actionable improvement plans, including process redesign and change management.
• Lead and develop consulting teams: coach Analysts, Associate Consultants, and Consultants to ensure high-quality work.
• Deliver compelling client recommendations: present clear deliverables with recommendations and implementation priorities.
• Contribute to practice growth: support business development, proposals, and internal initiatives.
