Job summary

Hunterdon Health seeks a Business Operations Representative to support revenue cycle and operational improvements across physician practices. You will partner with the Business Operations team and Practice Managers to optimize revenue opportunities, ensure accurate billing, and enhance patient experience.

The role focuses on revenue integrity, denial prevention, workflow standardization, and educational support for practice staff on payer requirements and organizational workflows.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle processes from patient registration to collections.
• Experience with EHR, patient accounting systems, and insurance payer portals preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Process and coordinate Good Faith Estimates per requirements.
• Review charge capture, write-offs, claims edits, work queues, and variances.
• Analyze Zero Balance Account Reports to identify revenue recovery opportunities.
• Assist with billing issues, payment discrepancies, payer-specific concerns.
• Support revenue cycle activities to improve reimbursement and reduce AR.
• Monitor denial management reports and assist with investigations and appeals.
• Identify denial trends and opportunities for process improvement.
• Develop operational reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for leadership.
• Partner with Practice Managers and departments to resolve issues.
• Provide education to staff on revenue cycle best practices and provider enrollment.
