Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in healthcare billing, required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field, required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications as well as medical office software.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Implementing a system to ensure accurate billing information is entered into the billing system.
• Supervising the Revenue Cycle Department in various duties (account management, insurance communications, collections, cash posting, contract analysis, and billing).
• Managing staff performance through feedback, reviews, and one-on-one meetings.
• Reviewing financial hardship applications.
• Overseeing hiring and training of staff.
• Managing patient billing and collections complaints.
• Planning and structuring department workflow and staffing.
• Correctly coding diagnoses and procedures.
